Basketball Recap: Holland Weisner Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat West Wilkes

South Caldwell won against West Caldwell on Friday with 42 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Tuesday. Everything went the Spartans' way against the West Wilkes Blackhawks as they made off with a 42-19 victory. The Spartans not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since December 27, 2024 (when they won 59-22).

South Caldwell's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Holland Weisner, who posted ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Whitman, who had nine points.

South Caldwell has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 45 points this season. As for West Wilkes, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Coincidentally, South Caldwell and West Wilkes will both be playing West Caldwell the next time they take the court. The Blackhawks will head out to face the Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Spartans will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
