Softball Recap: Punxsutawney Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Punxsutawney's offense. They fell 3-0 to the State College Little Lions on Friday.

Punxsutawney saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alyse Powell, who went 1-for-3 with one double. That double was Powell's first of the season.

Punxsutawney's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for State College, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Punxsutawney will square off against Altoona at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for State College, they will take on Mifflin County at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday.
