Softball Recap: Fort White Indians vs. Lafayette Hornets        
        
		
            
 Fort White put the finishing touches on their fifth blowout victory of the season  on Tuesday. They never let the Lafayette Hornets onto the board and left with  a   13-0  victory. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for Fort White.
  Kadence Compton was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she  didn't allow a single  earned run and  only one  hit while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. Compton has been consistent recently: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in eight consecutive pitching appearances. Compton was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-4 with a  home run.
 In other batting news, Fort White got a  massive  performance out of  Morgan Kelly, who  went 2-for-3 with two  runs, a  triple,  and a  stolen base.  Meloney Heagles was another key contributor,  going 1-for-2 with a  home run and four  RBI.
 Fort White's win bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Lafayette, they dropped their record down to 8-13 with that  defeat, which was their fifth straight  at home.
 Fort White will take on Trenton at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Lafayette, they will head out on the road to  challenge  Taylor County at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Taylor County will roll in looking for their  fourth straight  victory, something Lafayette surely won't give up without a fight.
