Basketball Game Preview: Taft Wildcats vs. Chavez Titans

The Taft Wildcats will face off against the Chavez Titans at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Taft is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59 points per game this season.

It was a proper cat-fight when Taft took on McFarland on Thursday. Taft was dealt an 81-44 loss at the hands of McFarland. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Nick Andrade put forth a good effort for the losing side as he went 5 of 10 en route to 12 points. Another player making a difference was Joe Weber, who posted four points.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Chavez's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They fell to Shafter 60-56.

Chavez's defeat dropped their record down to 11-14. As for Taft, their loss dropped their record down to 12-11.

Taft didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Chavez when the teams last played back in January, but they still walked away with a 58-52 victory. Will Taft repeat their success, or does Chavez have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
