Football Recap: South Miami Takes a Loss

South Miami and Coral Park pushed the score to 64-0 the last time they played Coral Park, but on Wednesday defenses reigned supreme. The Cobras fell 12-8 to the Rams. The Cobras just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

Quantes Smith threw for 38 yards while completing 87.5% of his passes. On the ground, Yaniel Crespo rushed for 138 yards while picking up 8.6 yards per carry.

South Miami's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Coral Park, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-5.

Coming up, South Miami will take on American at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Coral Park, they will square off against Varela at 7:00 p.m. on the 23rd.
