Football Recap: Oakwood Comes Up Short + How To Watch

If Oakwood was feeling good fresh off their 76-36 takedown of Coolidge last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Panthers fell 69-56 to the Chester Yellowjackets on Friday. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Yellowjackets apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Oakwood now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Chester, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Oakwood will face off against Avalon at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers will need to watch out since the Eagles have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Chester, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Alpha Omega Academy at 7:00 p.m. on October 9.
