Football Recap: West Vigo Takes a Loss

West Vigo fell victim to Edgewood and their airtight defense on Friday. They were dealt a 35-0 loss at the hands of the Mustangs. The defeat leaves the Vikings still looking for their first win of the season.

Edgewood's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Braxton Carpenter, who rushed for 149 yards and one score while picking up 9.3 yards per carry. Braylon Linerode was another key passer, throwing for 84 yards and three touchdowns.

West Vigo's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Edgewood, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Looking ahead, West Vigo will head out to face off against South Putnam at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Edgewood, they will be playing at home against Beech Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
