Softball Recap: Hemet Bulldogs vs. Valley View Eagles
Hemet extended their losing streak to eight on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 14-12 in the process. They lost 7-0 to the Valley View Eagles. That's two games in a row now that the Bulldogs have lost by exactly seven runs.
As for Valley View, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games.
For Valley View's part, not much got past Giselle Morales, who gave up just two hits and racked up six Ks to keep Hemet off the board. Morales has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances.
