Basketball Game Preview: Jefferson Cougars vs. Independence

The Jefferson Cougars and Independence will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Independence took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Jefferson, who comes in off a win.

Last Saturday, Jefferson earned a 51-38 win over Keyser.

Meanwhile, Independence was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 60-52 to Dominion.

Jefferson will need focus on slowing down Sebi Enderes, one of several Independence players who made an impact when they last played. He went 5 for 7 on his way to 11 points and four steals. Christian Ratliff was another key player, putting up ten points and five rebounds.

Jefferson now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Independence, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.
