Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon was the 64-54 winner over Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon Pirate fell to the Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas Falcons 73-68. The Pirate have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon lost on Wednesday despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Bradie Xaysana, who posted 17 points. That's the most points Xaysana has posted since back in January of 2024. M.J. Tucker was another key player, putting up 16 points.

Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kaleb Elliott led the charge by earning 16 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Aranas, who scored 14 points and three steals.

Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-9. As for Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-9.

Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 67-53 victory against Sports Leadership & Management on the 31st. As for Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas Falcons take on the Boulder City Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Boulder City's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight contests.
