Softball Game Preview: University Hawks vs. Academy of Aerospace and Engineering Jets

The University Hawks will venture away from home to take on the Academy of Aerospace and Engineering Jets at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

On Monday, University made easy work of Parish Hill and carried off a 19-11 win. The victory continues a trend for the Hawks in their matchups with the Pirates: they've now won four in a row.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Academy of Aerospace and Engineering). They were the clear victors by a 24-5 margin over Hartford Public on Wednesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Jets.

University's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Academy of Aerospace and Engineering, their victory bumped their record up to 2-5.

University took their win against Academy of Aerospace and Engineering in their previous meeting back in April by a conclusive 26-9 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hawks since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
