Baseball Recap: Lee Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Lee's offense. They came up short against the Barbers Hill Eagles on Friday, falling 11-0. The loss continues a trend for the Ganders in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost nine in a row.

Lee's defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Barbers Hill, they pushed their record up to 18-3 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Lee is set to challenge their familiar foe West Brook at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Barbers Hill will square off against rival Port Neches-Groves at 6:30 p.m. on April 4. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Barbers Hill 1.9, Port Neches-Groves 3.3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
