Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Camarillo). They blew past the Oxnard Yellowjackets 49-0 on Friday. With that victory, the Scorpions brought their scoring average up to 26.6 points per game.

Shane Feller continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 143 yards and four scores while picking up 7.5 yards per carry, and also picking up 35 receiving yards. Those four rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Jakaylen Robinson was another key back, rushing for 108 yards on only ten carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Camarillo was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 265 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 206 rushing yards in four consecutive matchups.

Camarillo didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Carson Machado, Sam Knight, and Tristan Tracy picked up one apiece. Tracy has been hot, having also posted five or more total tackles the last six times he's played.

Camarillo's record now sits at 2-3. As for Oxnard, they dropped their record down to 0-5 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Camarillo will take on Bishop Diego at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 883 yards in their previous games. As for Oxnard, they will square off against Royal at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Highlanders will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last.
