Basketball Recap: Gibbs Comes Up Short

Gibbs and Booker squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Gibbs had to settle for second. They were beaten by the Tornadoes 60-11. The loss continues a trend for the Gladiators in their meetings with the Tornadoes: they've now lost nine in a row.

Yvette Brown was her usual excellent self, putting up 16 points for Booker. The game was Brown's third in a row with at least 16 points. Kennedy Guy was another key player, scoring eight points.

Gibbs' defeat dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Booker, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-9.

Gibbs does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Booker, they have already played their next contest, a 64-35 win against Boca Ciega on the 6th.
