Basketball Recap: Washington School for the Deaf Terriers vs. Columbia Adventist Academy Kodiaks
After flying high against the Three Rivers Christian Eagles last Thursday, the Washington School for the Deaf Terriers came back down to earth. Washington School for the Deaf took a 51-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Kodiaks on Monday. Washington School for the Deaf has not had much luck with the Kodiaks recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Several Terriers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Julian Robinson, who scored 20 points along with three steals. Robinson hasn't dropped below two steals for 16 straight games. La'Juan Malone was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with three steals.
Washington School for the Deaf dropped their record down to 10-11 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Columbia Adventist Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Washington School for the Deaf will face off against the Vikings at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Willapa Valley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Monday. As for Columbia Adventist Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against the Vikings at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Mossyrock will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
