Basketball Recap: Monsignor Donovan Catholic Comes Up Short

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Briarwood Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mekhi Elam, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 11 rebounds. Elam's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Joseph Pickens, who went 6 of 9 en route to 17 points and three steals.

Monsignor Donovan Catholic has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season. As for Briarwood Academy, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-4.
