North Central AA recap September 17, 2013
Southeast of Saline moved up to 115 from 159 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in North Central AA. The Trojans climbed the ranks as a result of defeating Chapman 27-6.
Ellsworth was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from seventh to fifth in the league. The Bearcats defeated Russell 27-14 earlier in the week.
Nick Wuthnow and Trevor Webb gave Sacred Heart a balanced attack in passing and rushing last week. Wuthnow threw for 99 yards and 3 touchdowns, while Webb ran for 69 yards. Teammate Justin McCartney added to the ground attack by rushing for 59 yards.
Wuthnow and Webb gave the Knights a balanced attack through the air and ground last week.
Wuthnow put up the best numbers in passing as Sacred Heart defeated Republic County. Wuthnow's favorite target this week was Clayton Wetter, who caught 2 passes for 32 yards.
He went 6-11 with 1 interceptions.
Bailey Ramsey was the best receiver in the league this week as Southeast of Saline beat the Fighting Irish. Ramsey racked up 3 receptions for 30 yards.
Webb was the most successful running back in North Central AA this week.
At the moment, the Broncos are in sixth, while Beloit is in fourth.
Bruce Graber's team took down the Buffaloes 46-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Wuthnow ran for 16 yards in the win.
