Volleyball Preview: Sanger Apaches vs. Fresno Christian Eagles
The Sanger Apaches will challenge the Fresno Christian Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Sanger is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
Last Tuesday, Sanger didn't have quite enough to beat El Diamante and fell 3-2.
Sanger took El Diamante into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking four-point loss. After all that action, the final score was 22-25, 25-21, 29-27, 23-25, 15-11.
Meanwhile, Fresno Christian came up short against Central Valley Christian on Tuesday and fell 3-1.
Fresno Christian came into the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 29-31, 25-22, 25-22, 25-20.
Danielle Arndt put forth a good effort for the losing side as she had 15 digs.
Sanger now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Fresno Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-11.
