Football Recap: Bangs Takes a Loss

Bangs came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They were beaten by the Hamilton Bulldogs 47-20. The loss continues a trend for the Dragons in their meetings with the Bulldogs: they've now lost three in a row.

Even if they lost, Bangs' defensive line still kept up the pressure with five sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Ryan Alqorum and Kian Kelly, who racked up all five sacks between them. Kelly has been hot recently, having posted at least one sack the last four times he's played.

Bangs' defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Hamilton, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Bangs will head out to take on De Leon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bearcats will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last. As for Hamilton, they will venture away from home to challenge Hico at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
