Covenant Christian lost against Triton Central back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Covenant Christian Warriors took a 64-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Triton Central Tigers.

Covenant Christian lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Isaac Crane, who went 8 for 18 en route to 19 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. With that strong performance, Crane is now averaging an impressive 2.1 steals per game. Another player making a difference was Joe Midla, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 10 points in addition to seven boards and six assists.

Triton Central was led to victory by Eli Sego and Cael Butler. Sego went 5 for 6 to rack up 18 points, while Butler went 7 of 9 en route to 14 points and eight rebounds. Sego's evening made it nine games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Conner McClure, who posted seven points.

Covenant Christian's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 12-5. As for Triton Central, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season.

Looking ahead, Covenant Christian will head out on the road to face off against Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Triton Central, they will host Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter at 7:30 p.m. on February 14th.
