Softball Recap: Tidehaven Beats Palacios for Their Third Straight Win

Tidehaven had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Palacios Sharks with a sharp 13-3 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 13-0 back in March.

Maleah Galvan made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up three earned runs off three hits. Galvan was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4.

In other batting news, Kayleigh Nash was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Sophie Rodriguez was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.

Tidehaven always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .636. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .621 or higher in three consecutive contests.

Tidehaven's record is now 17-11. As for Palacios, their defeat was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-10-2.
