It was a good run, but Heritage unfortunately witnessed the end of their ten-game winning streak on Wednesday. They were just a hair shy of victory and fell 7-6 to the Liberty Lions. Having soared to a lofty 42 points in the game before, the Patriots couldn't push the score so high this time.

Lily Brakel threw for 142 yards on 15 of 24 attempts. Sydnie Hernandez was her top target, picking up 64 receiving yards. On the ground, Payton Ladrido rushed for 42 yards and one touchdown.

Heritage's loss dropped their record down to 11-2. As for Liberty, the win keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Heritage will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Deer Valley at 7:00 p.m. on the 15th. As for Liberty, they will host California at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Lions 5.2, the Grizzlies 6.7) so any points scored will be well earned.
