Softball Recap: Havana Gets the Win

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Havana). They had just enough and edged out the Liberty Eagles 7-6. The Ducks have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles on Saturday, too.

The victory made it two in a row for Havana and bumps their season record up to 2-3. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 7 runs in those games. As for Liberty, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 7-1.

Coming up, Havana will head out on the road to face off against Heyworth at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Liberty, they will square off against Olympia at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Spartans' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so the Eagles' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
