The Smithville Seminoles are taking a road trip to challenge the Vardaman Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Smithville has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the contest with four straight losses, while Vardaman will come in with seven straight victories.

Smithville's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Vardaman, their win was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-0.

Smithville was dealt a bruising 42-13 loss at the hands of Vardaman in their previous matchup back in October of 2023. That match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Smithville was down 42-0.
