Softball Recap: Chaparral Wolverines vs. Valor Christian Eagles

With a playoff game on the line, Chaparral rose to the challenge on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 19-13 margin over the Valor Christian Eagles. The result was nothing new for the Wolverines, who have now won nine matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Brooklyn Karjala was incredible, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Ella Pomme, who scored three runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Chaparral kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in October of 2023.

Chaparral has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 16-11 record this season. As for Valor Christian, the loss snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 21-5 record.

Chaparral is on the road again on Friday to play Legend at 2:30 p.m. Legend will roll in looking for their 17th straight victory, something Chaparral surely won't give up without a fight. Valor Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
