Volleyball Recap: Immaculate Comes Up Short + How To Watch

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Immaculate and Stratford meet (six straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Wednesday. The Mustangs fell just short of the Red Devils by a score of 3-2. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Red Devils apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Immaculate took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-16, 19-25, 25-21, 15-12.

Stratford was led to victory by Sophie DeLise and Maddy Iodice. DeLise had 24 digs and two aces, while Iodice had 13 digs. That's the most digs Iodice has posted since back in October of 2024.

Immaculate's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Stratford, they pushed their record up to 3-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Immaculate will take on Bunnell at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Stratford, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-1 defeat against Pomperaug on the 19th.
