Baseball Recap: Fremont Find Success

Fremont's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 11-10 victory over the Holland Christian Maroons. The win was some much needed relief for the Packers as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

The team relied heavily on Deagan Klimek, who went 4-for-5 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Fremont is undefeated when Klimek posts three or more RBI, but 5-10 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Chase Paulsen, who went 3-for-6 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Fremont kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Fremont's victory bumped their record up to 8-10. As for Holland Christian, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-14.

Fremont will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Maroons: the pair will be back at it again later today.
