Volleyball Game Preview: Truckee Wolverines vs. Moapa Valley Pirates + How To Watch

Truckee is a perfect 3-0 against Moapa Valley since November of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:30 p.m. Truckee will be looking to extend their current 11-game winning streak.

Truckee is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They blew past Dayton 3-0.

Truckee can attribute much of their success to Averi Costa, who had ten digs. Costa has been hot recently, having posted ten or more digs the last three times she's played.

Meanwhile, Moapa Valley didn't have quite enough to beat The Meadows School on Saturday and fell 3-2. The Pirates have struggled against the Mustangs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Truckee will have to contain Chloe Dalley as she made an impact in Moapa Valley's last game. She had 20 digs and three aces. With that strong performance, Dalley is now averaging an impressive 10.2 digs per game.

Moapa Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 12-21. As for Truckee, their win bumped their record up to 26-6.

Everything went Truckee's way against Moapa Valley in their previous matchup back in November of 2019, as Truckee made off with a 3-0 victory. Will the Wolverines repeat their success, or do the Pirates have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
