Volleyball Recap: Buckeye Central's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Buckeye Central had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They blew past the Mansfield Christian Flames 3-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 on October 4th.

Buckeye Central walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the second set). The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-12, 25-21.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Buckeye Central to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mayzie Hanlon, who had 16 digs and one assist. Hanlon has been hot recently, having posted 12 or more digs the last four times she's played. Graceyn Hook also deserves some recognition as she had her first digs of the season.

Mansfield Christian's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of McKenzie Webb, who had nine digs and three assists, and Nora Cook, who had 11 digs.

Buckeye Central's victory bumped their record up to 19-5. As for Mansfield Christian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-12 record this season.

Buckeye Central will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Van Buren at 6:00 p.m. Mansfield Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
