Volleyball Recap: Gordon-Rushville Takes a Loss

Gordon-Rushville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Gering Bulldogs, falling 3-0. If the Mustangs were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Bulldogs when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-15, 25-8.

Gering found their leader in freshman Adriana Canales, who had 11 digs and three aces. Finley Rotherham also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

Gordon-Rushville's defeat dropped their record down to 10-19. As for Gering, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-7 record this season.

Gordon-Rushville has already played their next contest (against Rapid City Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Gering, they will challenge Sidney on Tuesday.
