Recap: Caldwell Bluejays vs. Central Raiders
The Caldwell Bluejays lost against the Central Raiders back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Caldwell was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 40-39 to Central. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Caldwell in their matchups with Central: they've now lost four in a row.
Caldwell's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jackson Risley, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 10 rebounds. Risley scored a full 33.3% of Caldwell's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mak Blosser, who scored 17 points along with 3 steals.
Caldwell's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Central, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Udall the next time they take the court. Central will host Udall at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Caldwell will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
