Basketball Game Preview: Jamestown Eagles vs. Grafton Clippers

Jamestown and Grafton are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2018, but not for long. The Jamestown Eagles will be playing at home against the Grafton Clippers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Jamestown has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with five straight defeats, while Grafton will come in with three straight wins.

On Wednesday, Jamestown had to suffer through a 68-35 loss at the hands of Smithfield. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 301st, while the Packers are ranked 70th).

Meanwhile, Grafton posted their biggest victory since February 9, 2024 on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by a 66-44 margin over York.

Grafton's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Jamestown, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
