Football Recap: Marshall County Marshals vs. Owensboro Red Devils
Marshall County came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They were dealt a 62-7 defeat at the hands of the Owensboro Red Devils. The contest marked the Marshals' lowest-scoring game so far this season.
Evan Hampton continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Owensboro, rushing for 169 yards and three touchdowns on only seven carries. Hampton really tore up the turf during one magnificent 92-yard run. The team also got some help courtesy of Kingston Dillard, who picked up 116 receiving yards and a pair of scores.
Marshall County now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Owensboro, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-2.
