Softball Game Preview: Glenn Eagles vs. Artesia Pioneers

The Glenn Eagles are taking a road trip to square off against the Artesia Pioneers at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. Glenn has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since March 29.

Glenn came up short against Pioneer on Tuesday, falling 9-3.

Meanwhile, Artesia lost 20-12 to Oxford Academy on Tuesday. The Pioneers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Paulina Nava and Kaleyse Foster did some serious damage despite the final result: Nava went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI, while Foster got on base in three of her five plate appearances with one home run and two runs. Khloe Loquellano was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.

Artesia's loss dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Glenn, they now have a losing record of 8-9.

Glenn couldn't quite get it done against Artesia in their previous matchup back in April as they fell 9-5. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
