Joshua Syverson and Luke McCaw did most of the damage at the plate: Syverson went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs, while McCaw went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. McCaw is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Raymond Spalding, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2.

Founders Classical Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .667. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Somerset Academy Collegiate unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They came up short against New Braunfels Thunder back in March, falling 14-1.
