Sevier County skates past Knoxville Central with ease

Recap: Sevier County Smoky Bears vs. Knoxville Central Bobcats

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Sevier County Smoky Bears had no problem doing just that on Friday. They breezed by Knoxville Central at home to the tune of 51-20. The win was familiar territory for Sevier County who now have nine in a row.

Sevier County had a senior duo take command as Malachi Pate rushed for 139 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.7 yards per carry and Mason Ellis gained 132 total yards and a touchdown.

Knoxville Central's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Daniel Sackie, who picked up 85 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Sevier County pushed their record up to 10-1 with that victory, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Knoxville Central, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season.

Sevier County will be playing in front of their home fans against Powell at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Powell is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Knoxville Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
