Basketball Recap: Midlothian Comes Up Short

Midlothian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 38-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Midlothian Heritage Jaguars. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 49-34 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.

Leading Midlothian Heritage to victory were Brianna Finch and Ava Batty. Finch posted 12 points, while Batty scored 12 points.

Midlothian's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Midlothian Heritage, their victory bumped their record up to 11-6.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Midlothian Panthers challenge the Kaufman Lions at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Midlothian Heritage, they will challenge Red Oak at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Red Oak has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
