Softball Preview: Garrard County Golden Lions vs. Washington County Commanders
Garrard County is on a three-game streak of home losses, and Washington County an eight-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Monday. The Garrard County Golden Lions will welcome the Washington County Commanders at 6:00 p.m. Washington County took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Garrard County, who comes in off a win.
Garrard County is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They never let Frankfort get on the board and left with a 17-0 victory on Thursday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Golden Lions as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.
Emily Hounshell made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out six over five innings pitched. Hounshell was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three RBI and one triple.

In other batting news, Garrard County let Jazlynn Shelton and Zoe Jordon run wild. Shelton scored two runs while going 3-for-4, while Jordon scored two runs while going 3-for-4.
