Baseball Recap: Marion Comes Up Short

If Marion was riding high fresh off their 13-0 takedown of Nettleton on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Patriots took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Collierville Dragons on Thursday. The Patriots haven't had much luck with the Dragons recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Marion saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Max Molloy, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

Marion's defeat dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Collierville, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-7-1.

Coming up, Marion will head out to square off against Paragould at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Collierville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Graves County at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
