Volleyball Game Preview: Mendon Unity Mustangs vs. West Prairie Cyclones

The Mendon Unity Mustangs will head out to square off against the West Prairie Cyclones at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Mendon Unity will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

On Tuesday, Mendon Unity was able to grind out a solid victory over Brown County, taking the game 2-0.

Mendon Unity easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-13.

Meanwhile, West Prairie posted their closest win since August 26th on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out Camp Point Central 2-1.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was West Prairie who won the one that mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 24-26, 25-17.

Mendon Unity's victory bumped their record up to 14-3. As for West Prairie, their win bumped their record up to 9-10.

Mendon Unity beat West Prairie 2-0 in their previous meeting on September 3rd. Do the Mustangs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Cyclones turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
