Basketball Recap: Cleveland Rams vs. Millbrook Wildcats
Cleveland fought the good fight in their overtime game against Millbrook on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 60-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Millbrook Wildcats. The Rams were up 33-19 in the third quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.
Several Rams players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Izzy Sholar, who posted eight points in addition to ten rebounds and three steals. Sholar is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down nine or more in the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Martina Paz-Aquino, who went 6 of 12 on her way to 13 points and eight rebounds.
Millbrook got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Lucy Ellis out in front who had 16 points in addition to six steals and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Lauren Brown, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 14 boards.
