Baseball Game Preview: Saint James Trojans vs. Prattville Christian Academy Panthers

For the second straight game, Saint James will face off against Prattville Christian Academy. The Trojans will head out on the road to challenge the Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Saint James' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so Prattville Christian Academy's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Saint James is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Prattville Christian Academy just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers.

For Prattville Christian Academy's part, Blake Bowman spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on three hits and racked up 11 Ks. Bowman has been consistent : he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ethan Walls, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (two). Conner Williams was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.

Saint James' loss dropped their record down to 17-7-1. As for Prattville Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 24-2.
