Baseball Recap: Ooltewah's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak at Home

Ooltewah dropped their record down to 21-11-1 on Monday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins at home. They fell just short of the Bradley Central Bears by a score of 5-4. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Bears this season, with their most recent loss being a 11-1 defeat back in April.

As for Bradley Central, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 18-14-1. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.33 runs across that stretch.

For Bradley Central's part, they got a great performance from Drake Allen as he tossed five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Allen has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Jaxon Humble, who got on base in all five of his plate appearances with one triple and one run. Jadon Griffey was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

As of now, neither Ooltewah nor Bradley Central have any future games scheduled.
