Wall is 7-1 against Idalou since March of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Hawks will take on the Wildcats. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Wall comes in on five and Idalou on 13.

Wall is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Henrietta, sneaking past 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Hawks have posted since March 6th.

Gage Reichenau spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on two hits and racked up seven Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Gunnar Dillard was excellent, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one run and one RBI. Hagyn Barbee was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run.

Meanwhile, Idalou made easy work of Compass Academy on Friday and carried off an 11-1 victory. Considering the Wildcats have won 17 contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Wall's win was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 27-5. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.8 runs over those games. As for Idalou, their win bumped their record up to 24-5-1.

Everything went Wall's way against Idalou when the teams last played back in February of 2024, as Wall made off with a 17-2 victory. Do the Hawks have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wildcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
