Volleyball Recap: Lockport Falls Short Against Ranked St. Charles North

Lockport faced St. Charles North in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Porters fell 2-0 to the North Stars. The Porters were not able to make up for their defeat to the North Stars from their previous meeting back in August of 2016.

Despite the loss, Lockport saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Natalie Bochantin had five digs and two aces.

The defeat snapped Lockport's winning streak at five matches and leaves them with a 26-5 record. As for St. Charles North, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 30-3.

Looking ahead, Lockport will host Andrew at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. Charles North, they will venture away from home to challenge Lake Park at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
