The home team had come away the winner the last four times Albert Lea and Mankato East had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Tigers took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cougars on Monday. The Tigers have struggled against the Cougars recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Albert Lea's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Mankato East, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.

Albert Lea has already played their next contest, a 13-0 victory against Faribault on the 6th. As for Mankato East, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, an 11-4 win against Mayo on the 6th.
