Softball Recap: Saugus Sachems vs. Swampscott Big Blue

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Manchester Essex, Saugus was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They never let the Swampscott Big Blue get on the board and left with a 12-0 victory. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last six times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Sofia McCarrier made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over six innings pitched. McCarrier was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of her three plate appearances with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high.
