Baseball Game Preview: Jordan Beetdiggers vs. Skyline Eagles

For the second straight game, Jordan will face off against Skyline. The Beetdiggers will square off against the Eagles at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Jordan is coming into the match hot, having won their last seven games.

On Tuesday, Jordan beat Skyline 6-3.

NIC URCINO looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits.

At the plate, Jordan let CJ SUMNER and GAGE NALDER run wild. SUMNER scored a run while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances, while NALDER scored a run while going 2-for-2. BECKHAM LIVINGSTON was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI and one double.

Jordan's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-2. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Skyline, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-6.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Wednesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Jordan has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.7 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Skyline struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.7 strikeouts.
