Snow Hill's Ramel Fields recorded the longest rushing play in Bayside 1A this season in his game against Bennett last week. Fields ran for 72 yards on the play and finished with 78 on the day as his team beat the Clippers.
Snow Hill's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Fields threw for 91 and one touchdown and Mike Shumate had 51 yards receiving. On the ground Troy Taylor chipped in 180 yards. Quincey Peaker helped Snow Hill's passing attack out by catching one ball for 40 yards.
Washington's Jeremy Eure and Gavaughn Trower have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Eure has thrown for 408 yards this season, while Trower, a 6-foot-2 receiver, has 13 catches for 311 yards. Taylor from Mike Shumate 's team leads the league in rushing with 592 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Cambridge-South Dorchester takes on Kent County. The Vikings are in first place, while the Trojans are in fourth place.
The Eagles made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 10,166 from 10,600. The improvement came about via a 46-15 victory over Bennett last week.
