Basketball Recap: ABF Academy Homestead Comes Up Short

The ABF Academy Homestead Bandits didn't have quite enough to beat Victory Rock Prep on Monday and fell 47-45. The matchup marked the Bandits' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Despite the defeat, ABF Academy Homestead saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Benjamen Neely dropped a double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Neely has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Condae Smith, who posted six points and six boards.

ABF Academy Homestead now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Victory Rock Prep, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. ABF Academy Homestead will take on Miami Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Victory Rock Prep, they and Booker will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest, having both just played.
